New beginnings are full of promise and potential, and for many writers they can be the intoxicating jolt of energy needed to overcome writer’s block. November and National Novel Writing Month mean writers all over the world are engaging in new works in progress: developing new characters, new plot lines, and new inspiration.
Even if you’re not participating in NaNoWriMo, there’s something special about something new. You have 300 words this week to write about something new: a new character, the beginning of a new story, a new pair of shoes. Your piece can be fiction or creative non-fiction.
Come back Friday and show us your shiny new things!
